How it started:
We began by doing what any curious sales tech founders do - testing each other's tools. I explored MyWorker's AI Sales SDR capabilities, William tried RogerRoger's unified inbox for social selling, and somewhere between feature comparisons and late-night strategy calls, we realized we're asking the same fundamental questions: How is AI reshaping the sales landscape? And with the social selling space getting incredibly crowded, what actually matters for sales teams trying to break into new markets?
Why this partnership makes sense:
After launching three country guides solo, I couldn't think of a better person to bring into this project. William brings deep AI sales expertise that perfectly complements the cultural intelligence we're mapping. We're both obsessed with giving back to the sales community, and frankly, the scope of mapping global sales cultures is massive.
We're still figuring out exactly where William fits best - probably somewhere in the PR space, but honestly, who knows? When you find someone with shared vision and genuine excitement about helping the sales community, you figure out the details as you go.
What this means for Sales Across Borders:
More brainpower, fresh perspectives, and someone who understands both the technical possibilities of AI and the practical realities of multi-channel B2B sales. William's insights on how AI tools perform across different cultures will make our guides more valuable for teams actually using these technologies.
The mission remains the same: help sales teams stop stepping on cultural landmines when selling across borders. Now we just have twice the enthusiasm to make it happen.
Building the future together:
As AI transforms how we sell, understanding cultural nuances becomes even more critical. An AI tool trained on American sales patterns might completely miss why referrals are everything in Singapore, or why managing LinkedIn, email, and WhatsApp conversations requires different approaches across cultures.
Welcome to the team, William. Let's see where this takes us.
